The Peace in Europe and Asia through Global Citizenship Education (PEACE) Program is a trimester secondary school exchange program between countries in Europe and Asia which is centered on the themes of global and active citizenship education. The school based trimester program is designed to provide the students with the opportunity to become part of the German culture while living with a volunteer (non-paid) host family and attending classes at a local high school. School attendance is mandatory, as are certain AFS orientations and activities. Additionally some optional activities may also be offered on a local level.
At the end of the exchange experience, just before coming back to their home country, all participants meet at the EFIL Camp in Brussels to share their experience, attend workshops and visit the EU institutions.
