Be a part of building a better future for underprivileged youth by offering time and support at an after school program at a community center. Volunteers will organize games and sports, do arts and crafts, and lead after school activities.

Volunteers will work with a nonprofit that helps youth living in socially marginalized and extremely impoverished areas of Argentina. They run an after school program that puts on meals and activities with the goal of providing the healthy development, happiness, and hopeful future for children living in Ciudad Oculta, a shanty town in southern Buenos Aires.

This program also has the option of taking Spanish classes in an International Spanish Institute located in Buenos Aires — in this case, you will be taking classes in the morning and volunteering in the afternoon.

The activities change each day and volunteers can sign up for all 5 days each week or just the days they want to participate in, making this an ideal option for those looking for flexibility in their volunteer commitment.

VOLUNTEER TASKS

Volunteer activities occur every day of the week in the afternoons and volunteers can pick and choose which they participate in. Here are some of the activities available:

● Fútbol game
● Arts and crafts
● Birthday parties
● Preparation of snacks

VOLUNTEER SITE LOCATION

Each afternoon volunteers will meet at a previously confirmed meeting point in the city and commute together in a private transport (car or van) to the community center. The nonprofit mainly runs activities near Ciudad Oculta, a shanty town in the southern area of the city, however this may change.
