What You Need to Know About the Best Cruise for WWE Wrestling Fans: The Chris Jericho Cruise

Since starting his professional wrestling career in the 1990s, Chris Jericho has become a legend all over the world. Though he’s best known for his time in promotions like WWE, WCW, ECW, and AEW, Jericho has conquered practically every major territory across the globe from Canada to the United States to Mexico to Japan and just about everywhere else in between.

However, back in 2018, the former world champion set out to explore uncharted territory by bringing the squared circle out to the open seas for a boatload of the wildest wrestling fans to watch the action unfold. That’s when “Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea” was born. Combining a luxurious and relaxing cruise with essentially a non-stop wrestling convention, this experience brought fans together to take in all of Y2J’s favorite things: rock music, comedy, live podcasts, and wrestling matches.

During the maiden voyage, the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla assembled the top stars from Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling, and the independent scene, as well as some of the biggest legends in the business such as Rey Mysterio, Mick Foley, and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, for four days of epic partying as guests traveled from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and back. Now on their fifth excursion from January 26, 2024, to January 30, 2024, this time embarking on a journey to Cozumel, Mexico, “Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea: Five Alive” is sure to be The Painmaker’s most exciting outing yet.

All Aboard, All Elite

Since they opened their doors in 2019, All Elite Wrestling has changed the game of televised professional wrestling. But thanks to their partnership with the legendary performer, The Jericho Cruise was also changed thanks to the involvement of the biggest stars in AEW. This relationship carries on today, as the first AEW World Champion is set to welcome the likes of Orange Cassidy, The Don Callis Family, Swerve Strickland and his Mogul Embassy, Penta El Zero M, Taya Valkyrie, and many more stars from Tony Khan’s company.

In addition to the major players from “AEW Dynamite,” “AEW Rampage,” and “AEW Collision,” Jericho has invited legends like Paul Wight, The Dudley Boyz, Jerry Lynn, Missy Hyatt, Ultimo Dragon, and others to join in on the action. And of course, The Ocho wouldn’t leave out the Jericho Cruise Oceanic Champion Matt Cardona and his muscle Steph De Lander, who are “Alwayz Ready” to do what they need to keep that title around The Indy God’s waist.

Guests of the Norwegian Pearl will have unprecedented access to these titans of the mat wars in several ways. In addition to in-ring action every night, wrestlers will participate in Q&As, meet & greets, and even karaoke throughout the voyage to paradise. But unfortunately, unlike the second “Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager” where AEW broadcasted matches from the boat for a special “Dynamite” on TBS, the only way to catch this show is live and in person.

The Cruise (and Crews) of Jericho

Chris Jericho and Fozzy

With all the incredible action and once-in-a-lifetime experiences on the schedule, the Jericho Cruise is well worth the price of admission for wrestling fans looking to take a tropical getaway, especially during the colder months. Although, being immersed in wrestling is far from the only thing to do on this unique vacation.

Aside from the usual cruise amenities like a massive pool, rejuvenating spa, casino, and a variety of gourmet food and drinks, there is constant entertainment all around the ship. On top of programming featuring wrestlers like Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, RJ City, and the “Talk is Jericho” and “Busted Open” podcasts, the schedule also features more broad programming like “The Paranormal 60” podcast with Dave Schrader, comedy from Brad Williams, Eleanor Kerrigan, and Jonny Loquasto, burlesque from The Vaudettes, and music from several bands. Naturally, the Jericho-fronted Fozzy and Kuarantine are on the bill, but they’re also joined by The Georgia Thunderbolts, Trixter, The Nocturnal Affair, and others. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to soak up the culture of Mexico when the ship docks in Cozumel.

While “Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea” is almost ready to set sail once again (interestingly during WWE’s annual “Royal Rumble” weekend), there are still cabins available for those spontaneous travelers. But if you need a bit more planning, be sure to keep an eye out for future Jeri-cruise expeditions.
