Epcot is known for its yearly International Food and Wine Festival, which bills itself as “a culinary exploration across six continents,” per the official site. As its name implies, the festival brings a global flair to food and allows you to eat and drink to your heart’s content across the second of four major theme parks at Disney World. While drinking isn’t something you might normally associate with Disney, that’s part of the appeal of Epcot for adults — not just during the Food and Wine Festival, but any time of year.
The World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature areas in the front part of Epcot (formerly known as Future World) are dominated by popular attractions like Spaceship Earth, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Soarin’ Around the World. However, when you get back to the World Showcase, you can walk around the lagoon and soak up the ambiance of pavilions themed to 11 different countries. Whether you go clockwise or counterclockwise at EPCOT, you’re sure to work up an appetite while walking around, but sampling international food at Disney prices gets expensive after a while.
Fortunately, as user @allearsnet notes on TikTok, Epcot’s France pavilion has a restaurant where you can get cheap eats to help fill your stomach. The pavilion holds the 3D dark ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which is still rather new, having opened in October 2021 as part of Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration. So, you might be headed there anyway, and if so, this is where to eat without breaking the bank.

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is a quick-service bakery just around the corner from Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot. Their menu includes sandwiches, croissants, beignets, and other French specialties. Save for an imported cheese plate ($12.95) and a dessert macarons collection ($13.50) much of what’s available is currently priced at $10.95 or under. However, it’s the baguette that offers the best deal, as @allearsnet pointed out.
You can get a full, oven-baked baguette, the length of a human arm, for just $3.95 at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. If you’re not that hungry, there’s also a half-baguette available for only $2.75, or you can share it with the rest of your group to save even more money. Now, obviously, eating a baguette is appropriate for the France pavilion’s theming, but it will also put a solid foundation of bread in your stomach, which you can then add to with other international food selections from around World Showcase. It’ll also stop you from getting sick if you’re drinking your way around the area.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure also has a culinary theme, in keeping with the Pixar animated movie that inspired it, “Ratatouille,” where a rat becomes a Parisian chef. One scene in the movie features a human chef extolling the sound of a baguette’s crust, so on your next trip to Epcot, try one at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to see if it wields the same “symphony of crackle.”
