Camping is the ideal way to fully immerse yourself in nature and reconnect with your being and the earth. If you’re eager to do this and need help deciding where to go, consider the luxurious campsite of RiverWalk RV Park in Johnson, North Carolina. Here, you’ll find the perfect blend of nature and convenience due to their prime location beside a lake and the array of outdoorsy amenities. Your stay can be a memorable one, whether you go alone, with family, or with your friends.

Camping at RiverWalk RV Park means you’ll have beautiful lakefront views, a dog park, plenty of swimming space, yard games, and more. The park opened in 2020. Every day since then, campground owners Marcia and Jim Neese have prioritized customer service in addition to clean spaces. “We felt as if we had the skillsets to (run a campground) better,” Marcia told Woodall’s Campground Magazine. “It’s also helpful that we both love meeting people and enjoy learning about others. Campers are happy people. What better way to spend your time than catering to ‘Happy Campers’ who we enjoy spending our time with? Our park is created for RVers by RVers.”

If you’re itching to get out and explore the area, you can easily do so on the Jonesville Greenway. It’s a 2-mile pathway along the lake, perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. There are also trails in the surrounding area that are great for other outdoor pastimes. The state’s famous Mountains-to-Sea Trail passes through the site, providing a beautiful place to hike for a few hours. On the campground itself, you can play games like cornhole, Yardzee, or ladder golf or indulge in a couple of rounds of pickleball or volleyball.

Additionally, you can find a sense of peace on the private beach. Sprawl out and relax, take a dip in the lake, or cast a reel and fish. Bring your furry friends and let them make some new ones at the Happy Paws Dog Park. If you forgot anything, you can stop by the River Walk Office and Camp Store. You can use a laundry room at the park to keep your belongings fresh. You’ll also be able to use wifi throughout your stay.
