Couples activities in Williamsburg

There’s nothing as romantic as a couples spa experience, so the Williamsburg Salt Spa should be at the top of your bucket list. Rejuvenate your skin, get a couples massage, experience a salt cave, or unwind in a float tank. All of these options and more await you and your significant other.

If you’re looking for a picturesque setting for some pictures together as a couple, or simply want to shop at local stores that offer historical items as well as present-day ones, head to Merchants Square. Then for an interactive experience, just meander down the streets and look for actors dressed in colonial garb who are impersonating key figures in American history. Stop and have a conversation, and ask questions about “their” stories and the era in which they were alive. And of course, a horse and carriage ride through the historic area is a visitor’s rite of passage in Williamsburg.

Next, head to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum for a classic museum date. You’ll see art from across the centuries of the United States. But if you’re looking for something that’ll get your heart racing instead, venture to the nearby Busch Gardens for an amusement park date.

The best way to experience Williamsburg

Horse and carriage

Before you venture to the historical town of Williamsburg, Virginia, check and see if you can find a couples vacation package that includes lodging. This will enable you to save money, have romantic perks, and expose you to some sites and activities you might’ve missed if you hadn’t booked an all-inclusive package. Colonial Williamsburg Resorts has a Romance Package that’ll give you admission tickets to your choice of select activities, a carriage ride, a choice of amenities, and more.

The Cedars of Williamsburg also offers a Romantic Getaway Package that welcomes you with either a bouquet of flowers or an arrangement of chocolate-covered strawberries, a meal voucher to use throughout the town, and a bottle of wine or sparkling cider.

Alternatively, you can forego the romantic packages and build your own itinerary from the activities on offer. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, make reservations at one of the many local restaurants that have an intimate feel. Le Yaca offers French cuisine for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Choose from à la carte options or prix fixe menus filled with delectable options. Cochon on 2nd is another great option that only uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to create artisan food. To switch things up and offer a different kind of theme, dine in at the seafood-specializing The Seafare of Williamsburg.
