Camping makes for a wonderful experience, especially with an ocean view, depending on your preference, of course. If you agree that being able to wake up to the sights, sounds, and smells of the sea is a wondrous phenomenon and want to position yourself to do so, consider venturing out to one of the best places to stay: Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach, Florida. You’ll find a 300-acre campground that features a wide variety of thrilling activities, gorgeous views, and accommodations of all sorts: pitch a tent, pull up in an RV, or rent a cottage for a couple of nights to stay here.

Lakewood Camping Resort is also a prime family destination with entertaining options for kids and adults alike. You can spend your day zipping down slides at the water park, playing a game of basketball, challenging your friends and family to a couple of rounds of mini golf, attending live shows, and more. In other words, you’ll find something that keeps your attention and puts a smile on your face, regardless of your age and interests.

Activities and transportation

Lakewood Camping Resort has a seemingly endless list of activities for its guests. Whether you want to spend the day on one of the three water slides at the water park or in one of the five lakes, you’ll likely have a delightful time. As for rental equipment, you have the option of renting kayaks, peddle boats, and canoes on some of the lakes. Kids will love the arcade and the playground on the beach. If you’re looking to unwind and relax but have kids full of energy, you can drop them off at the Lakewood Kids’ Club for 90 minutes of entertainment. Unlike typical campgrounds, the Kids’ Club is a summer vacation Bible school available Monday through Friday.

As for getting around the campground — be it getting from your RV to the ocean or from the arcade to the lake — you can choose to move around on foot or rent a bike or golf cart. Bikes are free with your reservation; golf carts are extra, so keep that in mind as you determine the best mode of transportation for you.
