With amusement parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, it’s no wonder that Orlando, Florida, has been nicknamed the theme park capital of the world. Nevertheless, there are other overlooked spots in the state. This includes Gatorland, an amusement park home to thousands of alligators and crocodiles, and the first-ever Peppa Pig Theme Park. Peppa Pig is a beloved British animated children’s series that debuted in 2004 and made its way to the United States in 2005.

It has since exploded in other parts of the world but it has a particular hold on American children. According to Parrot Analytics, Peppa Pig is one of the most in-demand TV shows in the United States. Some U.S. parents have even claimed that the cartoon has caused their kids to speak in a British accent. Needless to say, Peppa Pig Theme Park is perfect for kids who can’t get enough of the series and its various characters.

The colorful park opened its doors in February 2022 and is located next to Legoland in Winter Haven. This makes it less than an hour from Walt Disney World. While the park’s FAQ states that guests of all ages are allowed, Peppa Pig Theme Park unsurprisingly primarily caters to young children.

Our expectations were met x1000! I cannot say enough good things about Peppa Pig Theme Park. If any of you have a non verbal child with a Sensory Processing Disorder… you KNOW how scary new places can be. Or how overwhelming places can be even if they love them. Often times JW struggles at Disney with the sounds. Peppa Pig theme park was a dream come true for him. He could do EVERYTHING here 👏🏻👏🏻 nothing was too loud. Absolutely everything was designed with little kids in mind. There was CALM, quiet and happy background music throughout the parks. It was not crowded at all. The restaurant is quite. It was perfect 💖 I would suggest everyone try it out, but, if you have a child with any type of disability then I would especially encourage you more than ever to give this place a try 🥹💓 it absolutely melt my heart seeing how happy and how well JW did here. We will most definitely be coming back soon 🫶🏻 well done, peppa pig!! 🐷🐷🐷 #orlando #momsoftiktok #fyp #peppapig #peppapigthemepark #legoland #winterhaven #lakeland #sensoryissues #spd #specialneeds #dayinmylife #honestreview #themepark #themeparkreview #disneylocal #disneyfamily #george #comealongwithme #comealong #spdchallenge #sounds #sensory #sensoryfriendly #childhood #memories #lovewhereyoulive #trythis #legolandflorida #honesty #fypdisney #disneyannualpassholder #recommendations #momsoftiktok #toddlersoftiktok #toddleractivities #toddlermusthaves #fortheparents #floridaplayground #floridathings #floridalife #bucketlist

Peppa Pig Theme Park is relatively small and consists of five acres, and has only six rides. All of these are designed to be ridden by children with an adult. This includes the low-intensity Daddy’s Pig Roller Coaster and Mr. Bull’s High Striker, a drop ride. Although this might not seem enough to fill the day, there is plenty for children and their parents to enjoy, including six different playgrounds. For example, kids can play carnival-themed games at the Fun Fair, such as a ring toss and bean bag toss. Then there’s Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour, where kids can ride tricycles on an outdoor path.

Winter Haven is known to have steamy year-round temperatures, and those who want to beat the heat can do so at the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad, a water-filled playground. In addition, Peppa Pig Theme Park has two shows: Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt Adventure and Peppa Pig Comes to Play. At 10 minutes long, each performance is musical and interactive. If you or your kid(s) get tired, head to The Cinema and enjoy air conditioning while watching episodes of Peppa Pig.

Peppa Pig Theme Park is ideal for all kids, but especially those with sensory issues or autism. The park has a thorough sensory guide that rates each of its rides and attractions on a scale of how it will impact their children’s five senses. In a detailed TikTok review, user @jportwood19 praised the park for this feature.

Peppa Pig Theme Park has limited dining and lodging options

While most theme parks have endless places to shop and eat, this is not the case at Peppa Pig Theme Park. One store, Mr. Fox’s Shop, sells Peppa Pig toys, stuffed animals, accessories, and more. Likewise, there is only one place to get a meal: Miss Rabbit’s Diner. The retro-themed restaurant has a small but affordable menu where everything, at the time of this publication, is under $20. Kid meal options include mac & cheese and pizza. For adults, there are sandwiches, like the smoked brisket sandwich, and a margherita flatbread. However, visitors are free to bring snacks and food.

Peppa Pig Theme Park is adjacent to Legoland, with one parking lot for both parks. In addition, Peppa Pig Theme Park does not have a hotel. Instead, visitors who plan on staying overnight are recommended to stay at one of Legoland’s hotels. They include the Legoland Pirate Hotel, the Legoland Hotel, and the Legoland Beach Retreat. Each one of these offers complimentary breakfast and kid-friendly accommodations in each room.

That said, separate tickets must be purchased to visit either park. At the time of this publication, a one-day ticket to Peppa Pig Theme Park starts at $34. All visitors who are over the age of 2 are required to purchase admission. Can’t travel to Florida? A Peppa Pig Theme Park is coming to the Dallas and Fort Worth area of Texas sometime in 2024.
