A step-by-step guide to making your own shower

To begin with, take off the spraying wand from the garden or deck sprayer. This can then be stowed safely away in case you want to use the sprayer for its original purpose. Next, screw the nozzle onto the barbed adapter, tightening it with pliers. Then, put the clamp over the hose. Finally, fit the barbed end of the adapter into the hose before tightening the clamp with a screwdriver.

When you’re ready, simply pump up the garden sprayer to create the pressure. And that’s it! If all has gone to plan, you’re ready for your outdoor power shower. You could even heat up the water beforehand, over your campfire, so that you can make it into a hot shower. And while it might not be quite in the realms of “glamping,” it’s certainly going to bring a little bit of extra luxury to your camping trip.

On that note, there are a few other things you can do to help ensure some extra comfort, too. For example, there are plenty of ways to keep warm in your tent when camping. And, if you’ve ever worried about mosquitos, then there are some genius hacks for keeping bugs away. But when it comes to creating your own personal mini-spa, you can’t beat this DIY portable pressure shower.
