Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park is an inviting haven for travelers seeking budget-friendly Yellowstone accommodations without compromising on comfort and convenience. Situated just four blocks from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, this expansive and eco-friendly RV park with paved roads and aspen and pine-studded manicured lawns provides a perfect base camp for adventurers eager to explore the natural wonders of this incredible region.

Besides being at Yellowstone’s doorstep, the RV park is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, along with popular attractions such as the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, the IMAX Theatre, and an aerial ropes adventure course. Small cabins are available for those without RVs who want to take advantage of the park’s affordability and ideal location. To top it all off, the park offers a full range of amenities, including a convenience store, gift shop, conference room, group pavilion, and laundry facilities, as well as ample accessible bathrooms and showers located throughout the premises. Pets are also welcome, as are little visitors, who will be delighted with the tire swing, monkey bars, and slides in the park’s sweet playground and the opportunity to toss a frisbee and play other games in the grassy areas.

While tent camping is not allowed in the park, several kinds of RV sites are offered to accommodate different-sized vehicles and hook-up needs. These include basic sites with no hook-up options for motorhomes and campers under 25 feet, those that feature electricity and cable only, and more deluxe sites for larger vehicles (up to 45 feet) with a range of options, such as electricity, cable, water, sewer, cement patios, picnic tables, grassy areas, and more. RV guests can choose between back-in and pull-thru sites. Rates are reasonable for the area but vary depending on the type of site.

The nine cabins in the park are a cozy alternative for visitors without camping vehicles. Depending on the budget and other preferences, guests can opt for a basic cabin with a queen bed, bunk bed, and table, with or without an ensuite bathroom, or they can splurge on a slightly larger cabin with a queen bed, futon, table, bathroom, and convenient kitchenette. All cabins are heated and feature knotty pine interiors and vaulted ceilings, creating a rustic and cozy ambiance. The RV park provides fresh linens and towels for cabins but not daily housekeeping.

Things to do in and around Yellowstone National Park

From the RV park, guests can embark on various outdoor adventures in the surrounding forests and mountains, including horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, float trips, and much more. However, the most popular activity in the area is (of course) exploring Yellowstone National Park. Within minutes of entering the park, visitors can begin to marvel at the awe-inspiring features that define Yellowstone’s landscape, from iconic geysers such as Old Faithful to kaleidoscopic hot springs and bubbling mud pots. The park’s amazing geothermal features provide a fascinating glimpse into the earth’s molten core and fiery forces, which continue to shape our planet every moment.

As guests venture deeper into Yellowstone, they will also understand why it’s one of the best places in the world to see wildlife up close, including majestic predators like black and grizzly bears, wolves, wolverines, and mountain lions, along with their ungulate species, such as bison, bighorn sheep, elk, moose, and mountain goats. When viewing wildlife in the park, take care not to disturb the animals and always maintain a safe distance, which means at least 100 yards for bears or wolves and 25 yards for all other forms of wildlife.
