Faria Beach Park Campground has 42 campsites, and you must make a reservation online to camp here. Six campers can stay at one campsite for a max of two weeks. Likewise, if you need hookup sites for an RV (there are 15 available), the cost per day at the time of this publication ranges from $61 to $68. How much you pay depends on the season and the campsite you choose. Don’t need hooks up? You can expect to pay $37 to $47 for the same reasons. Faria Beach Park Campground has many amenities, including showers, bathrooms, and even wifi.
A TikTok posted by user @yadi805 provides an inside look at the campground and its spectacular views. As mentioned in the video, furry friends are allowed but must be on a leash. An additional charge of $2.50 will be added to the camping fee for each dog at the campsite. If you don’t like cooking while camping, you’re in luck. Faria Beach Park Campground is home to Peirano’s Beachfront Cafe. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. the rest of the week. Menu items include breakfast burritos, sandwiches, burgers, and more.
Campers can visit the nearby city of Ventura
While not as notable as Los Angeles or its many beachside cities, Ventura is a hidden gem. Those staying at Faria Beach Park Campground can drive 11 minutes into town and have an adventure-filled day. Visitors can shop or have a meal on the waterfront at the Ventura Harbor Village. A popular dining option is Brophy Bros, which sells seafood classics. For an outdoor adventure, Island Packers Cruises takes guests from Ventura Harbor Village to the Channel Islands, where they can kayak or snorkel with a tour from the Santa Barbara Adventure Company.
In addition, Ventura has a charming downtown area with a main street with several shops and attractions. Visitors can watch a movie at the Century Movie Theater and grab a beer at the Ventura Coast Brewing Company. Ventura is known for being laid-back and historic. Those who want to learn more about the city and Ventura County can visit the Museum of Ventura County. The museum’s offerings rotate, but guests can expect to see art and scientific and historical exhibits.
There’s also the San Buenaventura Mission. Built in 1782, visitors can tour the scenic grounds and learn about California’s mission system. Moreover, Ventura has a wooden pier that was constructed in 1872. At the time of this publication, the pier is closed but is set to reopen in March 2024. However, dining at the pier’s Eric Ericsson’s Fish Co, a seafood restaurant with expansive coastline views, is still available.
