RV resorts make for a great home base for your outdoorsy vacation. You’re able to get out of the house and see somewhere new, save cash because the RV resort fees are typically significantly less than hotels, and enjoy unique amenities like fire pits. Not only that, but you also get a chance to enjoy activities both within the resort and in the surrounding area. They’re able to accommodate most people’s preferences with the amount of amenities and activities they usually offer. This is great for families, especially those with children of varying ages.

Pismo Sands RV Resort in Oceano, California is one such RV resort. You’ll find it to be a family-friendly place that caters to both children and adults. You’ll have all the joys of camping along with amenities that make your stay feel luxurious. “This does not look like much on the outside but once I was fully [in the] campground, I was pleasantly amazed,” a reviewer wrote on TripAdvisor.

This incredible RV park will keep your kids entertained. Let them run around on the pirate playground or go for a swim in the pool. There’s a game room with a wide variety of games, as well as a basketball court and a place to play shuffleboard and horseshoes. There’s even a kid’s corner with activities for young children. If you’re hoping to find some time to unwind while or after the kids play, then you can sit in the hot tub for a while.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the park, meaning you can stay in touch with friends and family who are missing out on the fun, stream shows and movies, and do whatever else you need to. If you need to escape somewhere quiet or even have a little bit of lingering work to do, you can head to the library and finish up there. There’s also a grocery store in the resort, making it convenient to purchase items you may have forgotten.

The park’s location adds to its appeal. You can view historic sites like the Chapman Estate, explore nature trails at the Pismo Preserves, stroll along the shores of Pismo Beach, or visit the Monarch Butterfly Grove.
