Just make a reservation, and leave the rest to the tropical leisure professionals. It’s really that simple with an all-inclusive resort. Plus, it’s perfect when you want to dabble in watersports, craft cocktails, and daydream on the beach — all for one all-in price. But the very thing that’s most appealing about all-inclusive destinations — the array of onsite dining and recreational options, and the ease of relaxing in one location — also attracts droves of fun-loving families.
Don’t get us wrong, we love our families, but sometimes we’re looking for a tropical scene with pure, unadulterated serenity. Perhaps that’s why these resorts continue to rise in popularity; The New York Times says that there are about 1,500 all-inclusive properties worldwide. So you might think that with so many choices, it would be a chore to find the best adult-only all-inclusive resort. But, as it turns out, one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the U.S. Virgin Islands is kid-free. Plus, travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands doesn’t even require a passport, so there’s another tedious logistical detail you don’t have to think about!
This St. Croix resort is an adult-only oasis

If you’re looking for seaside siestas without the omnipresent clamor of frolicking tots, set your compass for St. Croix’s Divi Carina Bay. The Caribbean resort was named one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the U.S. Virgin Islands by Travel and Leisure and is the only adult-only all-inclusive property on St. Croix. Guests must be 18 years or older to enjoy the resort’s beach, pools, water sports, restaurants, and entertainment.
The property was renovated in 2021, and Travel and Leisure gave it a shout-out for its driving range, mini golf, and ease of access to local excursions. To date, more than 900 people have reviewed the resort on Trip Advisor and rated it as a 3.5-star property. Although some reviews mention more luxurious resorts in the Caribbean, most vacationers rave about the tremendous value. One newlywed said, “My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon here! The activities were so much fun, and … the design of this resort is beautiful.” This falls squarely in line with Travel and Leisure’s insights, plus she went on to advise would-be visitors to “enter this destination with no expectations besides relaxation and all-inclusive perks!”
As a bonus, Fodor’s also mentioned that Divi Carina Bay boasts the only casino on St. Croix. If you’re looking for a kid-free all-inclusive resort, where you can wile away the afternoon sipping Caribbean rum cocktails, this one is a solid bet!
